ZO Lounge Chair GRAPE 8201
HOSOO Furniture collaboration collection. "ZO chair" designed by Masayuki Kurokawa in the 1980s.
As the name suggests, it has a lovely shape like a child elephant. It has solid legs and a sense of stability, yet it is lightweight, easy to move, and has excellent functionality. This work is a special collection of "ZO chair" wearing HOSOO textiles with the ultimate in craftsmanship.
Although it is a masterpiece that is loved over time, it can be used daily. With its lower sitting position it is suitable in both western and Japanese-style settings. All chairs are order-made with an approximate 3 month delivery time.
-HOSOO TEXTILE COLLECTION- “GRAPE”
Nature has created an inexhaustible wealth of wondrous forms whose diversity exceeds anything created by man. GRAPE is a tactile interpretation of the book “In Praise of Shadow” by Japanese author Junichiro Tanizaki. A tribute to the subtleties of lacquer, to shadow and light. GRAPE is a tribute to the beauty of nature and the long-standing Nishijin weaving tradition, which is rendered an abstract and poetic new look and feel.
