HOSOO Magazine "More than Textile" issue 02

This is the publication which captures the stories and processes behind HOSOO's activities to create its unique textiles that transcend people's imagination.

The theme for issue 02 is "Future in the Past." In this issue, we explore the wisdom, beauty, and irreplaceable techniques from the past, and discuss the beauty of the future. In addition to the various HOSOO R&D projects related to dying and weaving, this issue records curators notes from exhibitions held at the gallery, the story of Kyoto Nishijin through Byobu passed down in the Hosoo from generation to generation, and diverse sessions based on the theme of  “Future in the Past” with various creators from the world.

We hope this book will reach everyone who loves beauty and creations.
